The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert provides an exciting opportunity for educators to give a "hands-on" experience for their students. Field Trips are available throughout the year with reservations (No Field Trips are offered during school vacations). Field Trips are open to any organized group of ten or more- schools, preschools, childcare centers, non-profits, church groups and clubs. Take your pick from two great adventures! Teachers can choose from three Field Trip options: Traditional Exploration gallery, New "Go Grow & Go Figure" Exploration gallery, or, take advantage of both! Your groups two or three hour adventure begins with a brief orientation for students, parent helpers and educators. Then groups explore the over fifty hands-on exhibits in a self-guided tour.
Field Trip groups making their reservation with our Gallery experience Coordinator will receive a pre-assigned, two or three hour time at a discounted rate per child. We recommend that you make your reservation as early as possible due to popularity of seasonal dates and times. Come and take an adventure with us!

Special Field Trip Rate is $3.75 per student- Single Gallery Experience or $5.00 per student- Combined Exploration Gallery Experience

May-December:
Tuesday-Friday 9:30 am- 11:30 am, 11:30

Additional, special Field Trip reservation times are available through the Gallery Experience Coordinator. Field Trip reservations are not available on the following dates: Agency Holidays, Thanksgiving Break and Holiday Breaks

Your $25.00 deposit (nonrefundable)
must be received 60 days prior to your
visit. If your deposit is not received
- your date and time will not be guaranteed
or rescheduled with another school. |

Group rates apply to formal groups
of 10 or more children. |

One parent helper is required for
every 6 children and is admitted free.

Museum memberships will not be honored
for field trips. |

Fees can be adjusted for up to 5 absentees. |

The assigned field trip time allows the children time to explore the exhibits at their own pace. Your group must leave after the field trip tour time is over. |

visitors and parent helpers. |

Shared picnic space is available at
no charge-please include request on
