Smart Parents Know the Museum is Where Create Minds Go to Grow!

Healthy Children Need Play!

A report from the American Academy of Pediatrics states that children need more unstructured play.  Children with regular opportunties for unstructured play are better able to get along with others, healthier and happier.

Physicians cite a host of benefits for children who have regular opportunities for unstructured indoor and outdoor free play:

  • greater creativity
  • improved problem-solving
  • increased focus
  • more self-discipline
  • greater cooperation, flexibility and self-awareness
  • less stress
  • reduced agression; and
  • increased happiness

Make the choice to visit the Museum or it's programs today!  We believe in creative, imaginative play that is a necessary part of every child's development.

The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert is proud to be a member of the Association of Children's Museums.
